We are excited to invite you to Interlude an IBDP Visual Arts Exhibition, showcasing the creative works of our talented Visual Arts HL & SL students. This exhibition marks the culmination of their two-year journey in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), where each student has explored and developed their artistic skills, pushing the boundaries of their creativity.
The exhibition will feature a diverse array of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, photography, digital art, and mixed media pieces. Each work reflects the individual artistic vision and unique voice of the student, demonstrating both technical proficiency and conceptual depth.

THS students sports achievements at the CISCE Regional Competition - 2024

The Heritage School hosted the CISCE Regional Under 14, Under 17 & Under 19 Girls Cricket Tournament on 5th & 6th July.

Mann Jhunjhunwala - SOF Awards 2023-24
4th July
Mann Jhunjhunwala, a class 5 student of The Heritage School, was awarded a scholarship award of Rs. 5000 along with a trophy for his all-round performance in the SOF Olympiads 2023-24.
The results of IBDP May 24 was declared on 6th July.

Divyanshi Baruah wins a Gold medal in the 23rd Milo International Open Karate Championship
3rd July 2024
Divyanshi Baruah, a class 5 student of The Heritage School and a black belt holder in Karate, won a Gold Medal in the the Girls Individual Kumite 10-11 Years Old (-35 Kg) category in the 23rd Milo International Open Karate Championship - 2024. This competition was held from 27th to 30th June at Titiwangsa Indoor Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry Of Youth & Sports Malaysia. She represented the Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Sports Federation of India.
Career Fair
11th July
A career fair was organized by the career counselling department at The Heritage School auditorium on 10th July. 90 universities from Dubai, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland, Canada, Hungary, West Indies, and the U.S.A. participated.
THS students of classes 11 and 12, and IB year 1 and 2 along with their parents visited the fair in batches which enabled better interaction between the students and the university representatives. The representatives were pleased with the preparation, awareness and general ability of the students. The students too felt highly motivated for starting the process of admissions.
23rd Anniversary of Foundation Day

The Heritage Group of Institutions celebrated its 23rd Anniversary of the Foundation Day on 25th June. The day started with an auspicious havan which was attended by Ms. & Mr Suresh Chandra Bansal and his family, Mr Vikram Swarup, Chairman School Management Committee, Ms Bhawna Agarwal, Member SMC, and all the dignitaries from KBT. Ma’am Seema Sapru , Principal of the school along with all the teachers and staff attended the havan.
This was followed by the Prize Day Ceremony for the students of classes 6 to 12. Mr Darryl Bloud, CEO Apeejay Schools was the Chief Guest.
As a part of the Foundation Week celebrations, Primary School Prize Day was held on the 24th of June. Mr Sailesh Pandey, Principal Ratnakar North Point School, Howrah was the Chief Guest. The students received prizes for sports and activities on the 21st and 26th of June. Mr. Tirthesh Guha, Chief BasketballCoach(Retd.). SAI graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
CISCE Regional Swimming Competition
THS students - Hazel Tantia, Anusha Agarwal, Prisha Saraf, and Aashika C Mittra secured third position in the 4×100 meters Freestyle Relay in the Under 14 Girls' category in the CISCE Regional Swimming Competition. This was held at Gems Akademia International School, Joka on the 9th and 10th of July.
Kyra Mukherjee, Anoushka Mukherjee, Ujjeesha Mandal, and Shrestha Shome also secured third position in the 4 x 100 meters Freestyle relay in the Under 19 category of the same.
In the 4 X 100 meters Freestyle relay U-19 category for Boys, Aripro Basu, Tanay Jain, Arin Biswas and Ashutosh Khandelwal secured second position. This was held at Adamas International School on 12th July.

CISCE Regional Athletics Competition
In the CISCE Regional Athletics Competition, the Under 14 Girls Relay Team - Aishani Paul, Rihana Das, Divisha Agarwala & Aarya Rathi secured Gold in the 4x100m Relay Race. This was held at SAI Sports Complex from 9th to 12th July.
Varlika Rai, Jhanvi Agarwal, Irya Bais, and Vidushi Tosniwal secured Silver in the 4x100m Relay Race Under 17 Girls category.
Arushi Baul secured gold medals in the 100 meters and Long Jump, and a bronze in 200 meters.
Vaibhavi Reweri secured silver in the 200-meter Run and Bronze in the 400-meter Run. Arya Rathi secured Gold in the 200-meter Run.

The ASISC Zonal Quiz Competition-2024 was hosted by The Heritage School on 29, 30th April and 2nd May 2024 at the school auditorium. The quiz was conducted by eminent quizmaster, Mr Aanton Mukherjee.
8th May
Twelve schools under Zone-E had participated in the Quiz. The Heritage School won the gold medal in both Junior and Senior Categories.
The Heritage School teachers took part in a special program dedicated to the great poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer and painter, Rabindranath Tagore.
10th May
There were poem recitations, songs and dance performances to remember and celebrate the great man who reshaped Bengali literature and music as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
There was also a philately exhibition on the stamps of Rabindranath Tagore outside the school auditorium.
Bipaasha Paul, a class 9 student of The Heritage School, won the Silver Medal - Cadet Female Individual Kata category, in the Karate India Organisation Nationals held in Dehradun from the 8th-12th May.
16th May
Bipaasha was part of the Karate Association of Bengal Team which had players from 26 states of India.
After performing well in the Bhubaneswar AITA Championship series, Havish Bansal, a class 7 student of The Heritage School, secured the runners-up position in the Bengal State Championship under-16 category.

The Heritage School organized the annual Summer Camp, 'Surya Jyoti' from 20th to 24th May in the school premises.

For the first time, Surya Jyoti was made a residential camp for the students of classes 4, 5 and 6. The five-day camp was packed with activities like Western Dance, Theatre workshop, Story writing with illustrations, Comic Strips, Recycled artwork, Music, Fireless Cooking, and Fun with Science.
The Summer Camp concluded with an exhibition of all the art and literary work along with dance and drama performances put up by the participating students. The residential nature of the camp not only helped the children bond with each other and the teachers but also taught them to be self-sufficient in all respects.
17 students of The Heritage School from Classes 9 and 11 along with two teachers were in Sophie Scholl Gesamtschule, Wennigsen from 21st May to 1st June on a student exchange visit as part of PASCH- Partner schools for the Future programme. This is supported by Goethe Institut, Maxmueller Bhavan, Kolkata.
6th May
The theme of this year's collaborative project was Sustainable Cities and Communities. The German group will be visiting THS in the month of October this year.
The highlights of the trip to Germany were: getting to know how a school in Germany works, visit to the Rathaus in Hannover and a meeting with Dr.Bala Subramanian-Ramani, a member of the local Council, a meeting with the Mayor of Wennigsen, an excursion to the Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg, and having a wonderful experience living with German host families.
Date: 10th June Havish Bansal, a class 7 student of The Heritage School, won the recently concluded Bengal State Tennis Championship Boys U-14 category.
10th May
After performing well in the Bhubaneswar AITA Championship series, Havish secured the runner-up position in the Bengal State Championship under-16 category.
Bipaasha Paul, a class 9 student of The Heritage School, won a gold medal in the Individual Kata and Team Kata (Cadet Category); and a Bronze medal in the Individual Kumite (Cader-54Kg) in the Karate State Championship. This competition was organized by the Sheishinkai Shito Ryu Association of Bengal on 6th & 7th April.
At the Eastern K-12 Excellence Awards organised by Student Outreach on Sunday,7th March, The Heritage School won 2 prestigious awards- Principal of the Year and School of Excellence.
Additionally there was a panel discussion on 'Preparing students for a diverse and interconnected world' in which the Career Counsellor, Anuja Das was the moderator. The panelists were the principals from prominent schools in and around Kolkata as well as the University faculty members.
SamvitDaga, a class 4 student of The Heritage School, represented his school in theDrawing Competition for Group - 2 (Std. 1st to 4th) at "RANG 2023",2nd Nationwide Art & Performance Competition which was organized with thesupport of Ministry of Culture and was awarded a gold medal for his art in thiscategory.
Siddharth Roy, a student of class 8 from The Heritage School, participated in the West Bengal State Karate Championship on 6th April. He won a gold medal in Kata category and a silver medal in Kumite category.
The Heritage School students of classes 7, 8 and 9 put up a special assembly on 10th April to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid.
The Heritage School in collaboration with the Traffic Department of Kolkata Police organized a special awareness assembly on road safety for the students of the middle school on 4th April.
The Heritage School is hosting the 15th edition of Youthopia, 2024. There will be celebrity performances on 19th & 20th April. Entry will only be permitted for participating school students strictly in their school uniforms along with their respective school ID cards.
Hera Hassan, a class 7 student of The Heritage School, secured the third prize in the Fr. George Hess Literary ASISC Zonal Declamation Competition for West Bengal and North East States in the Sub-junior category.
There was an interactive session on the Fundamental Principles of NEP-2020 for the parents of The Heritage School students of classes 3 to 8. Ms. Seema Sapru, the Principal of THS, also spoke extensively on the use of technology and holistic education which focuses on learning capabilities of each student.

Bipaasha Paul, a class 8 student of The Heritage School, represented Team India in the 13th Silent Knight Karate Cup 2024. It was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 8th to 10th March. The tournament drew participants from prominent South Asian countries including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Malaysia, and India.
The Heritage School students from Classes 7, 8 and 9 attended the inauguration of India Poem Project at the American Center on 21st March. They joined a Virtual Session with the U.S. Youth Poet Laureates - Meera Dasgupta and Kashiv Ramani.
The Heritage School students of class 2 to 5 had a special assembly on 22nd March.The program ushered in the spirit of spring and the festival of colours - Holi. There were poems, songs and graceful dance performances by the students which had the message of celebrating a safe Holi.
The Heritage School students of classes 1 and 2 celebrated International Mother Language Day. There was a Bengali recitation competition wherein the students paid their respects to all language martyrs of 1952.
The inaugural dance on Ganesh Vandana, marked the beginning of the Pre-Primary school concert.
The Heritage School students of class 5 were felicitated for their achievements in a special assembly.
The Heritage School students of classes 3, 4 and 5 represented their school at an Inter-school Competition named 'Nature and Nurture' recently, that was hosted by MBWA (Mahadevi Birla World Academy).
The Consul General of the People's Republic of China held an exhibition of paintings by The Heritage School students on the "Silk Route." This exhibition was held on 16th January at St. Joan's School Salt Lake, which saw an active participation of the students and parents from classes I to 11.

Aarabdh Jha from class 5 secured first position in the Quiz Melange Mindspeak at MC Kejriwal Vidyapeeth. He also got a certificate of merit for securing the Best Quizzer position and for coming third in Quizzinius 4.0 that was organized by Delhi Public School, Ruby Park.
