Anant Agarwal , a student of class 8 from The Heritage School, won U-13 and U-15 boys badminton singles held at Spuddy Badminton Academy in an Intra Academy Tournament across Kolkata from 3rd to 5th April.

Kaeshav Sethia, a student of Ankuran 2, from The Heritage School, participated in the 2nd Open State Skating Championship. This was organised by the Bengal Skating Association on 28th March.
Kaeshav participated in the open state championship in the Age Group 4–6 (Cadet category) and performed exceptionally well in the Speed-Quad event and secured 1st position in both:

The little Ankuran students from The Heritage School celebrated Holi with great enthusiasm!
All 155 students of Ankuran 1 participated wholeheartedly, truly bringing the spirit of the festival to life. The children beautifully shared the importance of Holi, speaking about love, unity, and the victory of good over evil.
The celebration continued with vibrant dance performances, spreading festive cheer all around. The highlight of the day was the traditional Prabhat Pheri, where the children walked together singing festive songs, followed by a delightful round of Phoolon Ki Holi, celebrating with flower petals in the most graceful and eco-friendly way.

The academic year 2025-26 concluded on a vibrant note as the spirit of Holi filled the campus with colour, joy, and celebration. The Heritage School students of Classes 1 and 2 led a special assembly dressed in bright traditional attire, confidently anchoring and presenting the significance of the Festival of Colours.
The programme beautifully blended storytelling, poetry, and dance. A graceful performance inspired by the Shantiniketan style of Basanta Utsab and a lively depiction of Radha and Krishna added cultural richness to the celebration. Students also shared interesting facts about Phoolon Ki Holi celebrated in Vrindavan and Mathura.
The highlight was an expressive skit on Prahlad and Holika, conveying the timeless message that good always triumphs over evil. The children also spoke about celebrating an eco-friendly Holi by using natural colours, saving water, respecting consent, and being kind to animals.
The assembly concluded with melodious Holi songs, a collective Holi Pledge, and festive wishes, leaving everyone filled with positivity, cheer, and the true spirit of the season.

Snehit Ray, a class 6 student from The Heritage School has gained a lot of experience and exposure in pursuit of his journey with football.
He started off the U-12 league in Kolkata in the East Bengal jersey this February.
He also completed his camp training at Jain sports Bangalore. There were about 55 players in U-12 selected across the country in their scouting process ( 3 from Kolkata), who were then invited for a 5-day camp to train under some good coaches including a former England International ( Terry Phelan). The camp also had a tie-up with Manchester City.

The Heritage School students of Class 1 and 2 commemorated International Mother Language Day on Friday, February 21 through a special assembly. The program began with a melodious song: "Mora shei bhasha tei kori gaan, surer ei bhasha, chonde re bhasha".
The students showcased their creativity through short poem enactments and a choral recitation, featuring works by renowned poets like Rabindra Nath Tagore, Sukumar Roy, Apurva Dutta, and Bhawani Prasad Majumder. The significance of one's mother tongue was emphasized, highlighting its importance in preserving culture and identity.
The celebration was a wonderful tribute to the rich linguistic diversity of our community.

Archisaa Ray, a class 6 student from The Heritage School, was the 1st runner-up in the Grand Finale of the AI Quiz conducted by Ei. This was live-streamed on YouTube recently.

Aayansh Jalan, a student of class 5 from The Heritage School, has been awarded Grade 1 – Communication Skills (Level 1 Award) by Trinity College London, with Distinction, in the graded examination recently.

Ankuran Showtime brought together the vibrant energy of 571 children from Ankuran 1, 2 & 3, each one shining in their own unique way on the stage.
Through music, movement, and heartfelt performances, our little stars reminded us of something truly beautiful — the glow we share reflects the goodness within us all, and each one of us carries a star within us!

It was a moment of great pride when three class 8 students from The Heritage School participated in the Penguin Junior Kolkata Literary Meet School Quiz and won the Champions Trophy.
Nirvan Dwary, Annika Bose, and Samarth Agarwal were the participants from THS. The Quiz was organised on the 27th January at the Kolkata Centre for Creativity wherein the Quiz Master was Titash Banerjee.

Anwita Mukherjee, a class 7 student from The Heritage School, participated in the National Yogasana Sports Championships in Konnagar held on 25th January, and secured first position in the "Twisting Asana" Category,
She also participated in another National Yogasana Sports Championship held in Asansol on 10th and 11th January and secured 4th position. There were around 2000 participants in the competition.

The middle school students of The Heritage School organised a special assembly on 21st January to honour Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The program included the screening of two short documentaries on Netaji Bhavan (his ancestral house) and The Great Escape made by the students followed by some magical mime and dance performances based on the formation of INA. The narrators spoke about Netaji's political journey and his selfless involvement in the Indian freedom struggle. The assembly ended with a song dedicated to Azadi and the spirit of Patriotism. Through this assembly students got to learn about Netaji's fearless leadership, unwavering patriotism, sacrifice, discipline, work ethics and his vision, making this assembly a tribute and a celebration of his enduring legacy.

The Heritage School students from the Middle and Senior school participated in the Junior Kolkata Literary Meet on 22nd and 27th January at KaLaM Lawns, Alipore Museum, and the Kolkata Centre of Creativity. They attended engaging sessions on language in the digital age, contemporary writing, classic literature, and excellence in youth, featuring renowned speakers such as Anuvab Pal, Dipanwita Roy, and Viswanathan Anand.
Adding to the pride, a team of three Middle School students won First Position at the Penguin Junior KLM School Quiz, reflecting their literary acumen and teamwork.

It was a moment of great pride when Chirag Haldar, a Class 1 student from The Heritage School, was invited to give a talk at the Indian Museum during the celebration of the 77th Republic Day on 26th January. His sister, Chitrakshi Haldar, also a Class 1 student from THS, was asked to escort and felicitate the Director of The Indian Museum, Dr.Sayan Bhattacharya.

The Heritage School celebrated the 77th Republic Day on 26th January. The day started with the unfurling of the tricolour flag followed by the national anthem. The pledge was taken thereafter.
The chief guest was Shri Sabyasachi Raman Mishra who is the Inspector General of Police, Counter Insurgency Force, West Bengal. He made an inspirational speech on the importance and spirit of patriotism and pride. He also emphasized on the unity in diversity as propagated by our constitution. He spoke about the importance of being humane.

The Heritage School students of class 12, appearing for the Board Examination were blessed by Mr. Vikram Swarup, Chairman - School Management Committee; Mr. Probir Roy, Director - KBT; Mr. Pradeep Agarwal, CEO - KBT , and Dr Basab Chaudhuri, Principal HIT. They were accompanied by the Principal, Headmistresses, Headmaster, and other dignitaries in the Blessing Ceremony held on 17th January.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp followed by the school prayer. Thereafter the students were handed their pre-board report cards and were blessed by the Dignitaries and their teachers for their success. Dressed in their formal attire all the young Heritans looked confident to take their board exams. This was followed by a farewell program put up by class 11 students for the class 12.
The Blessing Ceremony for the students of Class 10 who will be appearing for their ICSE exams in February was held on 16th January.
The students were handed over their Pre Board Exam Report Cards and were blessed by the Principal, Dr. Basab Chaudhuri, Principal HIT , Headmaster and Headmistress.

The Heritage School Western Band received "The Champion of the Champions Award" as they were declared the best Western band in the TTIS challenge 2026. They lifted the trophy with great pride at a glittering prize ceremony which was held on 17th January at Nicco Park.

Class 6I organised a special assembly to honour Swami Vivekananda. The assembly highlighted his journey from his childhood Narendranath Datta to a global spiritual leader, with a special focus on his message of self-belief, discipline, and service to humanity. Through stage performance and presentations, students were inspired to follow his vision of empowered youth and a value-driven nation, making the assembly both a tribute and a celebration of his enduring legacy.

The Heritage School students of classes 4 and 5 won several accolades for their achievements in sports.
* Vaani Banka, a class 4 student, came first in the Quad Skating Race of 3 laps (8-10 years category) in the Speed Roller Skating Championship 2026 that was organized by the Champions Skating Academy.
* Ishan De, a student of class 4, secured the first position in Sub Junior Bengal Tennis State Championship for Boys in the Under 10 category.
* Ved Khemka, a class 4 student, participated in the ISKA National Kickboxing Championship. He won the silver medal for Point Sparring and a gold medal for KI in the Under-10 category.
* Aagam Jain, a student of class 5, won a gold prize in Kumite and silver in Kata in the 10-11 years category in the Bongo Bhumi Cup 2026 organized by JTESKAI.

The students of The Heritage School participated in the three-day Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival from 9th to 11th January at venues including Alipore Museum and Oxford Bookstore. The festival opened with an inauguration by Usha Uthup, followed by the launch of Madhabi’s Garden, the memoirs of Madhabi Mukherjee, and a discussion moderated by Oindrilla Dutt.
The class 4 & 5 students attended two interactive sessions at the Oxford Bookstore. The authors were Hemangini Dutt Majumder and Himanjali Sankar.
Class 11 students attended sessions like Past Present, which made history engaging and accessible.
Classes 7 and 8 students enjoyed an interactive author meet, while senior students and parents attended insightful discussions on historical fiction and youth perspectives.

Winter truly is the perfect time for fun and frolic! The Heritage School students from Classes 1 and 2 had delightful picnics filled with laughter, sunshine, and joyful moments on 13th & 14th January. The students soaked in the warmth of the winter sun while enjoying a variety of outdoor games, while some happily settled down with their favourite board games. Sharing homemade food with friends made the day even more special and memorable. The highlight of the picnics was undoubtedly the adventure zone — the thrilling Burma Bridge, ladder climbing, and the exciting web net tested their courage and brought out their adventurous spirit. The Heritage School celebrated World Disability Day as Kushalta Diwas, a day dedicated to honouring the skills, creativity, and achievements of our learners. The event brought together parents, teachers, and students in a vibrant and inclusive celebration.
The programme began with an inspiring address by the Principal, Ms. Sapru who welcomed the parents and emphasized the school’s commitment to inclusive education. She highlighted the importance of recognising the unique abilities of every child and fostering an environment where all learners feel valued, supported, and empowered.
A key attraction of Kushalta Diwas was the product exhibition and sale, featuring a delightful range of handcrafted items made by the students.
In addition to the exhibition, the students showcased their talents through a variety of programmes such as singing, dancing, magic show and recitation. Each performance was met with applause and admiration, making the event even more memorable.

The Christmas Assemblies by the students of classes 1 and 2 filled The Heritage school with festive cheer and joy. The programmes featured Nativity scenes, lively dances, and beloved Christmas carols such as “Away in a Manger,” “Hark the Herald Angels,” and “Jingle Bells.” Through a special message on the birth of Jesus Christ, the students underscored the importance of spreading joy, empathy, and compassion especially to those in need. The Heritage School students of Class 2 had a truly delightful and enriching visit to the Regional Rail Museum, Howrah. They were fascinated by the realistic mini Howrah Station model, the historic Steam Engine, and the elegant replica of the Fairy Queen. The thrilling toy train ride around the scenic park brought endless joy and laughter. Exploring the Hall of Fame with its vintage photographs, rare stamps, and railway models sparked curiosity and wonder. On November 25th, the young Heritans of class 1 explored Alipore Zoological Gardens when they were taken on an educational trip from school.
They discovered the wonders of wildlife - from the majestic elephants to playful monkeys, tall giraffes, tigers, zebras, deer, and vibrant birds. The students were thrilled to see it all. The trip was an engaging mix of fun and learning, creating lasting memories for the young students.

It was a moment of great pride when Param Agarwal, a class 6 student of The Heritage School, won the Gold Award for writing an essay in the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition 2025.

Every Quest begins with a spark — a dream, a question, a step forward! The annual concert of Classes I and II , 'The Great Quest', was a testament to the boundless energy, talent, and enthusiasm of our young learners. With 479 children taking the stage, the event was a spectacular display of zeal, confidence, and growth.
As the curtains opened, the audience was transported to a world of music, dance, and drama, showcasing the incredible journey of our students. From the spark of an idea to the grand finale, our students embarked on a thrilling journey, getting trapped in the game, solving riddles, navigating through the eight levels, and ultimately, conquering the game.'The Great Quest' embodied the spirit of exploration, creativity, and teamwork.

The Heritage School was ranked second in the Best Innovative Idea from School Category in the ICC InnovateX 2025.
The topic was Sustainable Urban Pathways which was initiated by the Geography Department.

A group of teachers from Manipur visited The Heritage School, Kolkata, for a two-day exposure programme on inclusive education. The visit aimed to familiarise them with the school’s inclusive philosophy, classroom practices, and support systems. They observed mainstream classrooms, primary and senior resource rooms, and interacted with teachers and counsellors. A guided campus tour and observations highlighted differentiated instruction, co-teaching practices, and multisensory learning strategies.
The teachers interacted with students from Grades 3 to 5, observing their learning behaviours, classroom engagement, and varied support needs. They witnessed how accommodations and structured prompts are used during literacy and numeracy tasks. They also participated in a Dance Movement Therapy session, experiencing its role in emotional expression, confidence building, and inclusion. Thereafter they had a reflective dialogue on applying these inclusive practices in their own schools.
The visit provided the teachers with practical insight into inclusive education and strengthened professional exchange between the schools.

The Heritage School students participated in the BONGOPEX 2025, the prestigious 10th State-Level Philatelic Exhibition organized by the Department of Posts, West Bengal Circle. The event was held on 15th November at Science City.
Inaaya Roy, a class 6 student secured the first prize in the Letter Writing Competition and won a prize of Rs. 10,000. Anissha Baid from class 6 came third in the same Competition.
In the Sit and Draw Competition, Atharv Goenka from Class 5 secured the first prize. Rimil Pahari, a Class 4 student came third in this Competition.

The Children's Day was celebrated in The Heritage School on 14th November with great enthusiasm. The children had their share of fun by showcasing their talent in front of their teachers and classmates. There were board games and movies shown to keep them entertained. The highlight of the day was when their own teachers performed on the stage which saw the students cheering and clapping for their teachers.

As a part of the project 'Vom Aufbrechen und Ankommen-Setting Out and Arrival: Stories of Indian Professionals in Germany', a visual art workshop for the students of Heritage was conducted by artists from India and Germany, the students designed reels for social media under the guidance of the artists it's an initiative initiative of the EU-AMIF program, raising awareness of migration-related experiences in both countries.
As part of the lead-up to the project’s official launch on 15th November 2025, the workshop was conducted by Max Muller Bhavan, on the 13th of November.

The Heritage School students from Classes 3 to 12, participated in an Inter-House Bengali Elocution on 11th and 12th of November. For the children of classes 11&12, it was an OPEN Event.
While some students recited the poems of different genres for their respective houses; others played the role of anchors and presenters to make this event a success.

It was a moment of pride when Amish Tripathi, a renowned author visited The Heritage School for an interactive session on 10th November. The school auditorium was packed with enthusiastic students who waited to get their books personally autographed. The best-selling author enthralled the young students with words of wisdom. He also talked about his latest book - "The Chola Tigers".

Aashika Mitra, a class 8- I student from The Heritage School, secured the 6th Position in the State Level Himalaya Yoga Olympiad 2025. The competition was held on 8th November, and was organised by Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhan Samsthana (VYASA), Kolkata.
Six students from the Heritage School participated in the female category between 9-13 years group.

A Cultural event celebrating 150 years of Vande Mataram was organized by the Indian Museum at Raj Bhawan, Kolkata on 10th November. Chirag Haldar, a Class 1 student from The Heritage School, was the inaugural speaker at this event. He spoke confidently in the presence of His Excellency, Dr.C. V. Ananda Bose, Honorable Governor of West Bengal. He was also awarded the inaugural Vande Mataram award by the Honorable Governor. The award consists of Rs 10000, a trophy, and a book.
Thereafter, THS students enthralled the audience with a mesmerizing dance performance on the song Vante Mataram at the Raj Bhavan.

Ahana Budhia, a class 2 student of The Heritage School, participated in the State Level Skating Championship on 9th November, and secured a Gold Medal in Artistic Skating – Solo Dance and a Silver Medal in Artistic Free Skating Dance.

The Heritage School student of class 9, Rajnandini De Sarkar, has been placed Eighth in the Albert Barrow Memorial All-India Inter-School Creative Writing Competition 2025 (Category II), conducted by CISCE.

The Heritage School students of Classes 1 and 2 visited Potoapara, Kolkata's artisan hub, before Kali Puja. They observed idol makers crafting beautiful Goddess Kali idols, learning the step-by-step process and appreciating the artisans' effort and devotion. The visit gave them a deeper understanding of cultural traditions and the festive spirit.

The Heritage School students of Classes 1 and 2 celebrated Diwali with a special assembly, showcasing creativity, teamwork, and the festive spirit. The programme featured a choral recitation in Hindi, a lovely skit, and lively songs and dances. The students also shared an important message on celebrating a Green Diwali, emphasizing the need to protect animals and nature from fireworks' harmful effects.

Two students from The HeritageSchool, Anwita Mukherjee and Aanvi Murarka, have been selected for the most prestigious Yogasana Bharat Nationals, to be held in the last week of December 2025 at Sangamner, Maharashtra.

Dia Mehta, a class 3 student of The Heritage School, won a Gold Medal in the 500m race, and a Silver Medal in the 1500m race (Under-11 Girls – Quad Category) at the CISCE Regional Skating Championship.
She also qualified and participated in the CISCE National Skating Championship, which was held in Maharashtra.

THS students participated in the ASISC Sub-Junior Quiz Competition on 10th October, 2025. There were 12 teams in the competition . The THS team (Annika Bose and Samarth Agarwal) qualified first in the semi-final round and moved on to the finals. In the finals, they secured the third place. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana teams were jointly in the second place while the team from Odisha stood first.

To usher in the festive spirit of Diwali, The Heritage School students of classes 1, 2, and 3 made Diwali crafts with recycled materials under the supervision of their teachers.

Vihaan Mehrotra, a class 5 student of The Heritage School, secured the first position in Skating Quad RD 1500 metres (Under-11 Boys Category) in the CISCE Games & Sports 2025 at the Regional Level.

Krisha Harlalka, a class 7 student of The Heritage School, participated in the AITA (All India Tennis Association) National Series and Championship Series Tournament, Hyderabad. She reached the 1st Round of the National Series (Main Draw) & the Pre-quarter Round of the Championship Series.

Aviraj Somani, a class 4 student of The Heritage School, represented West Bengal in the National Fencing Championship recently that was held at Nashik, Maharashtra.
Nationally, he is ranked 15th in the Under10 Foil Boys Category. His participation certificate is awaited from the Fencing Association of India.

To usher in the festivities and the joy that comes with Durga Puja and Navaratri, the Heritage School students displayed their creativity with art and craft work with the help of their teachers.

Hriday Jain, a class 6 student of The Heritage School, won the second position in Word Weavers, an Inter-school Hindi Elocution Competition on 13th September.
This competition was a part of the Inter-school Literary Meet, 'Word Of Wings' which was organized by Shri Shikshayatan School. Five students from THS took part in this literary event that included Story Writing and Elocution in 3 languages - English, Bengali & Hindi.

Purav Bhattacharyya, a Class 5 student from The Heritage School who was shortlisted for the KBC Juniors auditions has already cleared round one.
He travelled to Mumbai on 5th September, and is awaiting the results of Round two.
He regularly attends Knowledge Capsules classes and is following the motto of KC2KBC.

Hindi Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy by the students of class 1 and 2 at The Heritage School on 12th September.
The programme started with a prayer. After this, the children presented dances, poems, songs, and short plays on the importance of the Hindi language and the mother tongue.The young students won everyone's hearts with their presentations with full confidence and enthusiasm.

A few selected THS students from classes 5, 6, and 7 visited Swami Vivekananda's ancestral house and Sister Nivedita's House and Museum on 12th September.
Swami Vivekananda's House is a memorial, a museum as well as a cultural center. The children learnt about his life, his childhood, and the events that shaped his philosophy.
The house of Sister Nivedita is also a museum. The students took a tour of the house and learnt about the eminent personality who dedicated herself to empowering the women and children of Bengal during the British rule. They also watched the slide shows and took a walk through the photo gallery. It was an enriching and memorable visit.

95 students from classes 6 to 8 from The Heritage School participated in the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge test. This written challenge test was initiated by WWF-India.
The two top scorers were Sourjabha Pal from class 8, and Pratham Mohta from class 6. Both students will now participate in the city-level quiz on wildlife and nature.

The Heritage School students of classes 3, 4, and 5 took part in an Inter-house Sports Quiz. Patanjali was the winning house of this quiz with Chanakya being the runner-up.
The quiz was held to celebrate the spirit of National Sports Day to honour Major Dhyan Chand, a national icon in the field of hockey . He pushed the boundaries in sports and marked a transformative era in the nation.

Inaaya Roy, a class 6 student from The Heritage School, was selected as a winner of the Imagination Award for jer painting in the Children Art Exhibition & Competition that was held at Birla Academy of Art & Culture from 21st to 23rd August.

Mehr Gupta, a class 1 student from The Heritage School, won a bronze medal in the Bengal Open International Karate Championship - 2025 that was held on 31st August.

The Heritage School won several accolades at the 57th West Bengal State Shooting Championship 2025. This competition was held from 25th to 31st August, and was organised by WBRA (West Bengal Rifle Association) at Asansol Rifle Club, Asansol.

The Heritage School was the proud winner of the award for Excellence in Extra-curricular Activities in the Telegraph School Awards for Excellence 2025.
Divyansh Garg won the student award for academic excellence in Science.
Rishith Desikan, a THS student, received an award for Outstanding Talent in Music.
Headmaster Sir, Mr. Darryl Christopher Christensen won the lifetime achievement award for a teacher.

It was a moment of great pride when The Heritage School students won several awards with their stellar performances at the CISCE Regional Yoga Championship on 26th August.

The Heritage School was declared as the overall Champion of Zone H. They were also the group Champions in U-14, U-17, and U-19 – Zone H (THS and Vivekananda Mission).

Mohit Agarwal, a class 5 student from The Heritage School, was the third runner-up in the recently concluded SIP Regional Produgy 2025. This was the part of 21st SIP West Bengal Prodigy.
Aadi Jain, a class 5 student from The Heritage School, participated in a cube competition and won a bronze medal. He was also awarded a certificate for solving 9 different types of cubes.

Aayansh Jalan, a class 5 student from The Heritage School, participated in the 20th West Bengal State SIP Abacus Competition held on 17th August, 2025 at Netaji Indoor Stadium. He secured the second runner-up position in Level 7 amongst 3500 participants.
Tanay Agarwal, a class 5 student from THS was the second runner-up in the recently concluded SIP Abacus West Bengal Prodigy 2025 amongst 3500 children.

The Heritage School students of classes 3, 4, and 5 presented their annual play "Wah Birbal Wah " on 23rd August. The play based on Akbar and his witty minister, Birbal had drama, songs, and dance. It was presented in three languages - Bengali, English, and Hindi.
Ms. Suman Sood, Director of the B.D. Memorial Group of Institutions was the Chief Guest. She was accompanied by the Guest of Honour, Mr Saumma Batyacharyya, THS Alumna, an Actor and model.
The Chairman of the School Managing Committee, Mr. Vikram Swarup, along with the other school dignitaries also graced the occasion.

After the ASISC Zonals, The Heritage School participated in the ASISC regionals in the sub junior and senior category.
The Sub Junior team came 1st and they'll be participating in the national event. The team was represented by Annika Bose and Samarth Agarwal.

Yuvaan Choraria, a class 1 student of The Heritage School participated in the 9th International Karate Championship 2025 (Indian Challengers Cup) in the Sub Junior Male category below 6 years, and won a Bronze Medal.
This event was held in Netaji Indoor Stadium on the 27th July 2025. The event was organised by All India Seishinkai Shito- Ryu Karate- Do Federation.

It was a moment of great pride when The Heritage School students topped the LogiQuds Aptitude Test by competing with 17 lakh students across India, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Japan in the academic session 2024-25.
Reyansh Jagnani attained Rank 1 while Mrinalini Mapa secured Rank 8. Both are currently students in class 6.
Soujatya Ghosh, a student of class 5, attained Rank 5.

Ved Khemka, a class 4 student of The Heritage School, participated in the ISKA India National Kickboxing Championship in April. He won the silver medal for Point Sparring and a gold medal for KI in the Under-10 category.

Bipaasha Paul, a class 9 student from The Heritage School, won a Gold medal in Individual Cadet Kata, and a Silver in Junior Team Kata at the recently held 9th South Asian Karate Championship in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This competition was held from 2nd to 6th July. She was a part of the Indian Contingent and is now a South Asian Champion in her category.

As rightly said, Rathayatra is not just pulling a chariot, it’s pulling Lord Jagannath, Lord Balaram and Maa Subhadra into our hearts. The students of classes 4 and 5 from The Heritage School showcased a special assembly on 27th June for Rathayatra.
The programme started with the school prayer followed by the lovely invocation dance 'Mangalacharam and Padabande' in classical Odissi style. The programme rolled with the narrative of the historical background of the chariot festival. The visually intensive powerpoint presentation added on to the sparkle of the show. The assembly came to an end with a Jagannath Vandana sung by the students while the holy chariot was pulled by the dignitaries present in the auditorium.

The Heritage School students took part in the ASISC Zonal Quiz Competition 2025 and won several accolades.
In the Senior Level Category, Aniruddha Bandopadhyay and Shlok Chakraborty, both students of class 12, came first and won the gold medals.
In the Sub-Junior Category, Annika Bose and Samarth Agarwal, both students of class 8, got the first prize along with the gold medals.
In the Junior Level Category, there was a tie between the top two teams, and THS came second. Zasha Lahiri and Swapnil Pal, students of class 10 who were representing THS won the silver medals.

The Heritage Group of Institutions celebrated its 24th Anniversary of the Foundation Day on 25th June. The day started with an auspicious havan which was attended by Mr Vikram Swarup, Chairman School Management Committee along with his wife Ms. Bindu Swarup. Mr Vikas Agarwal , Hon’ble Trustee and his family also attended the havan. Mr. Pradeep Agarwal and the other dignitaries from Kalyan Bharti Trust attended the function along with Ms. Seema Sapru , Principal of the school and all the teachers.
Vibhuti, the TOK Exhibition of IBDP was inaugurated after the Havan.
This was followed by the Prize Day Ceremony for the students of classes 6 to 12. Mr Shekhar Mehta, President, Rotary International was the Chief Guest.Dr Ayush Goel, THS Alumnus was the Guest of Honour.
As a part of the Foundation Week celebrations, Primary School Prize Day was held on the 24th of June. Dr Subhayu Banerjee was the Chief Guest.Mr Shivam Agarwal THS Alumnus, was the Guest of Honour.
The students received prizes for sports and activities on the 27th of June. Mr Anirban Dutta, Secretary IFA was the Chief Guest. Mr. Yuvraj Basu, THS Alumnus was the Guest of Honour.

The Heritage School students won accolades in the ASISC Zonal Declamation Competition which was held on 27th June. Saanvi Padhi from Class 11, Shambhavi Rewari from Class 10, and Hera Hassan from Class 8 represented THS. Shambhavi Rewari won a gold medal in the Junior Category and Hera Hassan won a bronze medal in the Sub-Junior Category.

Arav Das, a class 6 student from The Heritage School, secured 8th position in the Third All Bengal Chess Development School Age Group Chess Tournament 2025. The tournament had over two hundred participants which was organised by AKD Chess Academy on 22nd June.

Devansh Maheshwari, a class 2 student from The Heritage School, won a bronze medal (3rd position) in the 750m inline race (under his age category 6 to 8 inline boys) at the Open National Skating Championships held in Kolkata.
He also secured 4th position in two other national-level races during the same event.

Siddhant Acharyya, a class 7 student from The Heritage School, secured the second Runners-up position in Level 8 of the SIP Abacus Centre Stage which was held in the month of April. He was felicitated on the 9th of June at the University Institute Hall, College Street.

After securing the first two Positions at the National Pre-Yoga Olympiad, Ananya Sengupta and Aditri De, both class 8 students from The Heritage School, clinched the second position in the Under 14 group in the finals of the NCERT National Olympiad representing CISCE.
They were part of the CISCE Girls' team along with students from two other schools in the Middle Stage Category (10 - 14 years). The competition was held at Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari from 15 to 18 th June. Their group Under 14 won the silver medals.

Aaryaman Bhowal, a THS student of Class 7, became the 1st Runners-up Up in Centre Stage SIP ABACUS PRODIGY 2025 held in April this year. He was felicitated with a trophy at a function held at the University Institute Hall, College Street on 9th June.

THS was also declared as Champion of the Champions in this competition which was organized by the West Bengal Rifle Association from 11th to 15th June at La Martiniere for Boys School.

St. Joseph's Academy, Dehradun hosted the the CISCE National Pre-Yoga Olympiad 2025 from 23rd to 25th May. 11 Regions participated from all over india .Ananya Sengupta and Aditri De from The Heritage School ( under West Bengal and North East Region) secured the 1st position in U-14 category.
Smt Rekha Arya Minister of Dept of Sports and Youth Affairs Felicitated both the girls with trophies.

Teesta Chatterjee, a class 9 student from The Heritage School, secured 1st position in an International Dance Festival held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This competition was organized by the Hindustan Arts and Music Society in association with the High Commission of India.

The Heritage School students who secured the top ten ranks in ISC exams were felicitated by Desun Hospital administration recently.

Even in the scorching heat of the summers, The Heritage School managed to pacify the heat by indulging the young minds in learning new skills in the second edition of Surya Jyoti Residential Summer camp 2025. A group of fifty students consisting of the newly promoted teens of class 6, the confident class 5’s and the tiny 4s participated in the camp.
The artistry of puppet theatre, the taps of western dance steps, the colorful art activities, brainstorming STEM sessions, refreshing butterfly and backstrokes in the pool and creating music out of things of everyday use were the highlights of the camp. While gorging on quesadillas-momos-kulchas- shahi paneer-chole bhature, Kashmiri pulao and other delicacies, the students were transported to the world of imagination to dive into rediscovering the ‘atmadeep’ burning in each of their hearts.
Night walks and "we times" helped them reflect on their newly learnt skills while spotting nibbling snails, patient owls, the moody moon with the ever pleading clouds and the sparkling stars around them.
Quick late night movie session called for watching ‘Two’ - a short film by none other than the maestro Satyajit Ray followed by a discussion appreciating the film. The other night threw light on the essentials of vlogging, its syntax and a brisk walk through a specially curated vlog.
To widen the glee, the camp ended with the multitaskers performing western dance, puppet theatre, elementary orchestra and robotics demonstration in front of the audience and taking home the handmade Surya Jyoti fridge magnets and appreciation certificates along with the painted glass bottle lamps, colorful self made planters and bags full of memories to be cherished for the rest of their lives.

Kyaan Roy Choudhury, a class 4 student of The Heritage School, won the Gold Certification Young Performers Award from the Trinity College London in December 2022. Kiyan learns music online at the Shankar Mahadevan Academy, and he has received certificates from the institution. He was announced the Champion for his Calcutta Times- Little Star Talent Search Hunt, in March 2025.
Aaryav Kaushik, a class 5 student, received an award from the India Book of Records for solving the Fisher Cube in one minute and 31 seconds for the 2025 Year record.

The Heritage School student of class 7, Avighna Dhelia completed a trekking trip to Kedarkantha successfully between 19th to 26th March. He returned with beautiful memories and stories from the trip.

✨4th International Online Education Conference of Teachers held on 22.03.2025✨
The Heritage School co-hosted the 4 th International Online Education Conference of Teachers, an event that was started in 2020 at the initiative of The Heritage and Primakov School, Moscow. This year THS partnered with Brighton Institute of English, Bombal, Argentina. Teachers from Argentina, Kenya, Tanzania, Türkiye, Spain, Germany and the UK presented papers on the following topics:
1. Inclusive Education Practices [Exploring strategies to support students with diverse learning needs in international contexts.]
2. The Role of Technology in Modern Classrooms [Beyond AI, this could include innovations like virtual reality, gamification, and collaborative online tools to enhance learning.]
3. The Challenging Task of being a Teacher in Today’s World [Teachers do a LOT more than teaching their subject[s]]
4. Continuous Professional Development for the Teacher [Addressing the need for ongoing professional and personal development to equip teachers with evolving methodologies and their own well-being.]
5. Global Education [and the role of international collaboration among schools]
While Ms. Anuja Das, Career Counsellor, presented a paper on the importance of career counselling in the current global education scenario, the International Projects Coordinator, Ms. Ira Bhattacharya chaired a session and moderated the discussion. It was an afternoon of meaningful sharing of ideas across continents and cultures.
In the concluding session, it was unanimously decided that the participating schools will collaborate on a project at the middle school level.

TTHS was honored to attend the Meeting for the Organisation of the GEP Raj Bhavan Chair at Raj Bhavan, Kolkata, alongside Vice Chancellors from esteemed colleges of Bengal and distinguished guests.
Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose, along with Padma Shri Dr. Kiran Vyas and Dr. Christophe Dumas, addressed the gathering, emphasizing sustainability, education, and the I-Theory. The event also marked the formation of a Steering Committee to drive future initiatives.

The students of Classes 1 and 2 commemorated International Mother Language Day on Friday, February 21, 2025, through a special assembly.
The program began with a melodious medley of two songs: "Moder Gorbo, Moder Asha, Aa Mori Bangla Bhasha" and "Ami Banglay Gaan Gai, Ami Banglar Gaan Gayi". The students showcased their creativity through short poem enactments and a choral recitation.
The significance of one's mother tongue was emphasized to the children, highlighting its importance in preserving culture and identity.
The celebration was a wonderful tribute to the rich linguistic diversity of our community.

The Heritage School auditorium was abuzz with excitement" as 480 students from Ankur- Grades 1 and 2 - presented 'The Enchanting Tune', a captivating playlet. This special performance seamlessly blended English, Hindi, and Bangla with music, movement, and creativity, adapting the timeless classic 'The Pied Piper of Hamelin' for this year's concert.
The show masterfully wove storytelling, music, and dance, bringing the beloved folktale to life and showcasing the remarkable talent of the young performers. From the playful rats to the enigmatic Piper, each student brought their character to life with infectious energy and passion.
With vibrant costumes and engaging performances, this adaptation was a resounding triumph, leaving the audience utterly enchanted.

Divyanshi Baruah wins a Gold medal in the 23rd Milo International Open Karate Championship

Divyanshi Baruah, a class 5 student of The Heritage School and a black belt holder in Karate, won a Gold Medal in the the Girls Individual Kumite 10-11 Years Old (-35 Kg) category in the 23rd Milo International Open Karate Championship - 2024. This competition was held from 27th to 30th June at Titiwangsa Indoor Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry Of Youth & Sports Malaysia. She represented the Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Sports Federation of India.

Career Fair

11^th July

A career fair was organized by the career counselling department at The Heritage School auditorium on 10th July. 90 universities from Dubai, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland, Canada, Hungary, West Indies, and the U.S.A. participated.

THS students of classes 11 and 12, and IB year 1 and 2 along with their parents visited the fair in batches which enabled better interaction between the students and the university representatives. The representatives were pleased with the preparation, awareness and general ability of the students. The students too felt highly motivated for starting the process of admissions.

23rd Anniversary of Foundation Day

28th June

The Heritage Group of Institutions celebrated its 23rd Anniversary of the Foundation Day on 25th June. The day started with an auspicious havan which was attended by Ms. & Mr Suresh Chandra Bansal and his family, Mr Vikram Swarup, Chairman School Management Committee, Ms Bhawna Agarwal, Member SMC, and all the dignitaries from KBT. Ma’am Seema Sapru , Principal of the school along with all the teachers and staff attended the havan.

This was followed by the Prize Day Ceremony for the students of classes 6 to 12. Mr Darryl Bloud, CEO Apeejay Schools was the Chief Guest.

As a part of the Foundation Week celebrations, Primary School Prize Day was held on the 24th of June. Mr Sailesh Pandey, Principal Ratnakar North Point School, Howrah was the Chief Guest. The students received prizes for sports and activities on the 21st and 26th of June. Mr. Tirthesh Guha, Chief BasketballCoach(Retd.). SAI graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

CISCE Regional Swimming Competition

THS students - Hazel Tantia, Anusha Agarwal, Prisha Saraf, and Aashika C Mittra secured third position in the 4×100 meters Freestyle Relay in the Under 14 Girls' category in the CISCE Regional Swimming Competition. This was held at Gems Akademia International School, Joka on the 9th and 10th of July.

Kyra Mukherjee, Anoushka Mukherjee, Ujjeesha Mandal, and Shrestha Shome also secured third position in the 4 x 100 meters Freestyle relay in the Under 19 category of the same.

In the 4 X 100 meters Freestyle relay U-19 category for Boys, Aripro Basu, Tanay Jain, Arin Biswas and Ashutosh Khandelwal secured second position. This was held at Adamas International School on 12th July.

CISCE Regional Athletics Competition

In the CISCE Regional Athletics Competition, the Under 14 Girls Relay Team - Aishani Paul, Rihana Das, Divisha Agarwala & Aarya Rathi secured Gold in the 4x100m Relay Race. This was held at SAI Sports Complex from 9th to 12th July.

Varlika Rai, Jhanvi Agarwal, Irya Bais, and Vidushi Tosniwal secured Silver in the 4x100m Relay Race Under 17 Girls category.

Arushi Baul secured gold medals in the 100 meters and Long Jump, and a bronze in 200 meters.

Vaibhavi Reweri secured silver in the 200-meter Run and Bronze in the 400-meter Run. Arya Rathi secured Gold in the 200-meter Run.

The ASISC Zonal Quiz Competition-2024 was hosted by The Heritage School on 29, 30th April and 2nd May 2024 at the school auditorium. The quiz was conducted by eminent quizmaster, Mr Aanton Mukherjee.

8th May

Twelve schools under Zone-E had participated in the Quiz. The Heritage School won the gold medal in both Junior and Senior Categories.

The Heritage School teachers took part in a special program dedicated to the great poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer and painter, Rabindranath Tagore.

10th May

There were poem recitations, songs and dance performances to remember and celebrate the great man who reshaped Bengali literature and music as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

There was also a philately exhibition on the stamps of Rabindranath Tagore outside the school auditorium.

Bipaasha Paul, a class 9 student of The Heritage School, won the Silver Medal - Cadet Female Individual Kata category, in the Karate India Organisation Nationals held in Dehradun from the 8th-12th May.

16th May

Bipaasha was part of the Karate Association of Bengal Team which had players from 26 states of India.

After performing well in the Bhubaneswar AITA Championship series, Havish Bansal, a class 7 student of The Heritage School, secured the runners-up position in the Bengal State Championship under-16 category.

The Heritage School organized the annual Summer Camp, 'Surya Jyoti' from 20th to 24th May in the school premises.

For the first time, Surya Jyoti was made a residential camp for the students of classes 4, 5 and 6. The five-day camp was packed with activities like Western Dance, Theatre workshop, Story writing with illustrations, Comic Strips, Recycled artwork, Music, Fireless Cooking, and Fun with Science.

The Summer Camp concluded with an exhibition of all the art and literary work along with dance and drama performances put up by the participating students. The residential nature of the camp not only helped the children bond with each other and the teachers but also taught them to be self-sufficient in all respects.

17 students of The Heritage School from Classes 9 and 11 along with two teachers were in Sophie Scholl Gesamtschule, Wennigsen from 21st May to 1st June on a student exchange visit as part of PASCH- Partner schools for the Future programme. This is supported by Goethe Institut, Maxmueller Bhavan, Kolkata.

6th May

The theme of this year's collaborative project was Sustainable Cities and Communities. The German group will be visiting THS in the month of October this year.

The highlights of the trip to Germany were: getting to know how a school in Germany works, visit to the Rathaus in Hannover and a meeting with Dr.Bala Subramanian-Ramani, a member of the local Council, a meeting with the Mayor of Wennigsen, an excursion to the Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg, and having a wonderful experience living with German host families.

Date: 10th June Havish Bansal, a class 7 student of The Heritage School, won the recently concluded Bengal State Tennis Championship Boys U-14 category.

10th May

After performing well in the Bhubaneswar AITA Championship series, Havish secured the runner-up position in the Bengal State Championship under-16 category.

Bipaasha Paul, a class 9 student of The Heritage School, won a gold medal in the Individual Kata and Team Kata (Cadet Category); and a Bronze medal in the Individual Kumite (Cader-54Kg) in the Karate State Championship. This competition was organized by the Sheishinkai Shito Ryu Association of Bengal on 6th & 7th April.

At the Eastern K-12 Excellence Awards organised by Student Outreach on Sunday,7th March, The Heritage School won 2 prestigious awards- Principal of the Year and School of Excellence.

Additionally there was a panel discussion on 'Preparing students for a diverse and interconnected world' in which the Career Counsellor, Anuja Das was the moderator. The panelists were the principals from prominent schools in and around Kolkata as well as the University faculty members.

SamvitDaga, a class 4 student of The Heritage School, represented his school in theDrawing Competition for Group - 2 (Std. 1st to 4th) at "RANG 2023",2nd Nationwide Art & Performance Competition which was organized with thesupport of Ministry of Culture and was awarded a gold medal for his art in thiscategory.

Siddharth Roy, a student of class 8 from The Heritage School, participated in the West Bengal State Karate Championship on 6th April. He won a gold medal in Kata category and a silver medal in Kumite category.

The Heritage School students of classes 7, 8 and 9 put up a special assembly on 10th April to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid.

The Heritage School in collaboration with the Traffic Department of Kolkata Police organized a special awareness assembly on road safety for the students of the middle school on 4th April.

The Heritage School is hosting the 15th edition of Youthopia, 2024. There will be celebrity performances on 19th & 20th April. Entry will only be permitted for participating school students strictly in their school uniforms along with their respective school ID cards.

Hera Hassan, a class 7 student of The Heritage School, secured the third prize in the Fr. George Hess Literary ASISC Zonal Declamation Competition for West Bengal and North East States in the Sub-junior category.

There was an interactive session on the Fundamental Principles of NEP-2020 for the parents of The Heritage School students of classes 3 to 8. Ms. Seema Sapru, the Principal of THS, also spoke extensively on the use of technology and holistic education which focuses on learning capabilities of each student.

Bipaasha Paul, a class 8 student of The Heritage School, represented Team India in the 13th Silent Knight Karate Cup 2024. It was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 8th to 10th March. The tournament drew participants from prominent South Asian countries including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Malaysia, and India.

The Heritage School students from Classes 7, 8 and 9 attended the inauguration of India Poem Project at the American Center on 21st March. They joined a Virtual Session with the U.S. Youth Poet Laureates - Meera Dasgupta and Kashiv Ramani.

The Heritage School students of class 2 to 5 had a special assembly on 22nd March.The program ushered in the spirit of spring and the festival of colours - Holi. There were poems, songs and graceful dance performances by the students which had the message of celebrating a safe Holi.

The Heritage School students of classes 1 and 2 celebrated International Mother Language Day. There was a Bengali recitation competition wherein the students paid their respects to all language martyrs of 1952.

The inaugural dance on Ganesh Vandana, marked the beginning of the Pre-Primary school concert.

The Heritage School students of class 5 were felicitated for their achievements in a special assembly.

The Heritage School students of classes 3, 4 and 5 represented their school at an Inter-school Competition named 'Nature and Nurture' recently, that was hosted by MBWA (Mahadevi Birla World Academy).

The Consul General of the People's Republic of China held an exhibition of paintings by The Heritage School students on the "Silk Route." This exhibition was held on 16th January at St. Joan's School Salt Lake, which saw an active participation of the students and parents from classes I to 11.

Aarabdh Jha from class 5 secured first position in the Quiz Melange Mindspeak at MC Kejriwal Vidyapeeth. He also got a certificate of merit for securing the Best Quizzer position and for coming third in Quizzinius 4.0 that was organized by Delhi Public School, Ruby Park.
