Inter-school Sports in September

• Our students had participated in various events of ‘Confluence’, the annual fest of Calcutta International School. Navdeep Singh Jaiswal secured the first position in Chess tournament. Aditya Sehgal participated in basketball match and bagged the second position.  Keshav Mirania was the member of football team and had secured third position.

• Sukanta Saha of class X IGCSE participated for the G.D. Goenka Football Tournament

• South Kolkata District Swimming Trial at Kidderpore Swimming Club Organized by South Kolkata District. 6 of our students won silver and bronze medals  

• 1st All Bengal Open Rapid Chess Tournament 2016 at Anubhav Lodge in New Barrackpur organized by Naba Barrackpur Chess Coaching Centre. Devansh Roy Chowdhury of Class 5 secured 7th position in Under 11 Boys category.

• 27th National Under 17 Open & Girls Chess Championship 2016 at Amity University Kolkata organized by Bengal Chess Association. Our students performed well. 

• South Kolkata District Chess Championship 2016 at National High School for Boys organized by District Council for School Games & Sports. Kamalkoli Majumdar of Class 9 all her games and became champion in Under 14 Girls and Sakshi Aswani lost only 1 game and secured 2nd position in Under 14 Girls. Both of them qualified for 62nd West Bengal State School Chess Championship. Aadrito won all 4 games and became champion in Under 14 Boys. He qualified for 62nd West Bengal State School Chess Championship. Navdeep Singh Jaswal won all 4 games and became champion in Under 19 Boys category. He qualified for 62nd West Bengal State School Chess Championship             

• 62nd West Bengal State School Chess Championship 2016 at Madhyamgram High School organized by District Council for School Games Sports, North 24 Parganas. Navdeep Singh Jaswal of Class 11 won all 5 rounds scored 5 points and became champion in Under 19 Boys category. He also qualified for 62nd National School Chess Championship 2016-17. Kamalkoli Majumdar of Class 9 scored 3.5 points, remained undefeated and became champion in Under 17 Girls category. She also qualified for 62nd National School Chess Championship 2016-17. Sharanya Ray of Class 7 won all her games, scored 4 points, remained undefeated and became champion in Under 14 Girls category. She also qualified for 62nd National School Chess Championship 2016-17. Sakshi Aswani of Class 7 scored 3 points and secured 2nd position in Under 14 Girls category. She also qualified for 62nd National School Chess Championship 2016-17

• Goenkan Trident 2016 an Inter School Football Championship organized by  GD Goenka World School. Our school bagged the 3rd position. 

• Goenka Trident 2016 an Inter School Swimming Championship organized by GD Goenka World School. Our students did well and bagged 3 medals. 

• Harshita Baid and Koyena Paul of The Heritage School has been provisionally selected for State Basketball team for 43rd Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship which is going to be held at Hyderabad, Telengana on and from 1st to 7th October 2016.

• ASISC Junior Basketball Boys & Girls Competition held at GEMS Akademia International School. The Girls Junior team won the gold medal for the same. 

• ASISC Girls Badminton Competition at St Stephen School. Nadine Singh & Mansi Pasari secured 1st position in Junior Doubles category. Taniya Rauniyar secured 3rd position in Junior singles category
