Model United Nations Conference

• The Heritage School organized the fourth edition of the THS Model United Nations Conference on 15, 16 and 17 June 2017. The Conference opened with inspiring words from the Chief Guest Mr. Bruce Bucknell, the British Deputy High Commissioner, Kolkata and the Guest of Honour Mr. Jonathan T. Ward, Principal Commercial Officer, the United States Consulate in Kolkata.
• The conference was attended by 11 city schools and colleges. They were divided into the General Assembly for Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs which was chaired by Abhiraj Goswami, United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs which was presided over by Suvayan Sengupta, United Nations Conference on Nuclear Disarmament which was over seen  by Adrija Ghosh, United Nations Security Council chaired by Rahul Das and the International Press Corps which was headed by Satvik Sethia.
• The participants put in committed research which was reflected in the intense debates and discussions. After three days of deliberations, the team from Calcutta International School was declared the Best Delegation and Lakshmipat Singhania Academy was adjudged the Outstanding Delegation.
